
MANILA, Philippines — League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) National President and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora turned over ₱1 million in financial assistance to Sarangani local government.
The funds from the City Government of San Juan was handed to Sarangani Governor Ruel Pacquiao at the Sarangani Provincial Capitol to support the province’s ongoing recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
Following the turnover, Zamora visited the Municipality of Malapatan, where he inspected the Malapatan Public Market and the Malapatan Wharf, both of which sustained damage from the recent earthquake.

Zamora later traveled to General Santos City and turned over an additional ₱1 million in financial assistance from the City Government of San Juan, along with another ₱1 million from the League of Cities of the Philippines. The assistance was received by General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao.
Also present during the turnover were Koronadal City Mayor Bing Pabi-Araquil and Tacurong City Mayor Lina Montilla.
The local chief executives also discussed the continuing recovery efforts in the earthquake-affected areas, as well as other priority concerns of the League of Cities of the Philippines.
