
Manila Gilas falls to Germany, exits Fiba 3x3 Women’s Series
SINGAPORE—Manila Gilas’ spirited run in the 2026 Fiba 3×3 Women’s Series-Ulaanbaatar came to an end Friday after a quarterfinal loss to Germany. Germany routed the Philippines, 20-5, at Sukhbaatar Main Square in Mongolia to end Manila Gilas’ title bid. Manila Gilas was no match for Germany’s Victoria Poros, who had eight points in the win. Ama Gegbeon also scored six. Kaye Pingol scored three points for the Philippines, while sister Ann and Tin Cayabyab recorded a measly point each.
