In my Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 review, I rated the speaker 4.5 stars, which is an exceptional score for a small, budget-friendly speaker. Why? Well it comes down to a few things.

First of all, it sounds so much better than you'd expect for a model in this size-class. While a lot of palm-sized speakers struggle to crank out striking low-end sound, it's no problem for the Stormbox Micro 3. Bass hits hard, but not in an uncontrolled or unrefined way — it's responsive and relatively full-sounding too. In addition, vocals and guitars in the mid-range come through with impressive clarity, and percussion in the treble is controlled, never sounding tinny (unless you're cranking the volume to 100, which is rarely a good idea with small speakers anyway).

IP68 waterproofing means the speaker is fully protected against particle ingress, but also capable of surviving a 1.5 meter dive underwater for up to 30 minutes. So if you want to bring it with you for a swim in the pool, for instance, you're in luck.

It also has a magnetic base, a nifty companion app, and a massive 24-hour battery life, cementing it as one of the best Bluetooth speakers in its weight class alongside the likes of the JBL Go 5 and Edifier ES20. So, what are you waiting for? Scoop up this awesome Bluetooth speaker for less while you still can!
