LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Three children who were first playing in the rain drowned in the lake in Santa Rosa City in Laguna province on Thursday, June 25.
The Police Regional Office 4A in a belated report on Friday, identified the victims as “LM,” 3, girl; “MM,” 12, girl, and a “special child;” JB,” 7, all residents Barangay Sinalhan.

Police said the victims were playing in the rain at around 6 p.m. when they ventured into the nearby lake shore in the village.
A witness saw the victims wander into the deeper portion of the lake and consequently drowned.
Rescuers pulled out the three unconscious children out of the water and brought them to the hospital where they were all declared dead on arrival. /jpv
