Yolanda Hadid Makes Rare Red Carpet Outing With Daughter Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid is pushing through.
The 29-year-old model—who was diagnosed with Lyme disease at 16—posted an emotional health update on Instagram Stories June 25, telling her fans it felt "so intimidating and difficult to explain" the fatigue, anxiety, brain fog and insecurities she feels around experiencing chronic pain.
Hadid explained that such symptoms can lead to "severe isolation and depression, especially over long periods of time" for her, which can be frustrating "especially when you try anything you can."
"You demand answers that no one can find," she wrote. "You fight. You finally have a few good days. You think you've found the right protocol, the right routine, the right treatment... and then a flare up comes back and all of a sudden nothing feels certain again."
The Beauty actress went on to note that living in limbo has resulted in her cancelling plans, unable to make decisions, masking feelings and waking up with "anxiety already living in your body." It's also left her feeling as though very few people can understand her struggle.
"Sometimes it feels like unless you've lived something like this, or loved someone who has," she added, "it's impossible to understand."
Hadid continued by sharing encouraging words to any of her followers who may also be going through similar feelings.
"I have to remind myself that healing isn't linear," she said. "I believe God puts before us, somehow, only what we are capable of carrying, even when we don't understand why at the time. I know there is a deeper purpose to all things in life, and through experiences, good or bad, there is a silver lining."

"I have so much gratitude for life," Hadid went on, "but without living in a body that has more rough days than good...it's hard to find joy or purpose or reason to even go outside...but we will keep trying!"
She followed up her message with another Instagram Stories post that included a photo of herself crying over which she expressed exacerbation over how to find reprieve from her symptoms.

"Every day is a new day and tomorrow I'm hoping for, God willing, a better one," she concluded. "I love you guys so much thank you for all of your support. I wasn't expecting it, but I'm truly grateful."

Nearly 10 hours later, she returned with another follow-up in which she apologized for scaring anyone with her posts.
"I'm sorry if I worried anyone," Hadid said. "I know it sounds jarring, but in full truth it's my reality so it's something I'm able to cope with to a capacity now. I'm sorry if I startled anyone. This is truly an ebb and flo for me for the past 15 years. I just had an overwhelming amount of emotion over not being able to do the things my mind is capable of setting, but my body is not capable of doing."
