The path, known as Sete Vales Suspensos (Seven Suspended Valleys), will follow the line of the cliffs and has been secured with safety railings in areas of highest risk.
Along the way, visitors will find information panels, which will provide details of the route, give geological facts and indicate the best places to view birds and local plants and flowers.
The path, which represents an investment of 78,000 euros, should be concluded before the beginning of the summer.
