Jet fuel surcharge to fall further in July
MANILA, Philippines – Passengers flying within and out of the Philippines can expect cheaper airfares starting July after the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) again lowered the allowable fuel surcharge airlines may collect, following the easing of Middle East tensions that pulled down global oil prices. In an advisory dated June 26, the regulator set the fuel surcharge at Level 9 for July 1 to 15, down from Level 12 in the second half of June.
