
MANILA, Philippines — Three suspects have been arrested by the police while one remains at large following a shooting of a new college graduate in Pantukan, Davao de Oro last Thursday, the Police Regional Office in Davao Region (PRO-11) said.
The PRO-11 reported that Franklin Taganait Cabatlao,35; Raymond Diez Garcia, 34 and Roanna Taoy Colongan, 25, were arrested at around 10:55 a.m on Friday

The regional police added that Garcia is a dismissed police officer. Cabatlao and Colongan are residents of Pantukan, Davao de Oro while is from Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

It added that the remaining suspect, Alvin Abeñon, is reportedly hiding in Barangay Tagdangua in Pantukan.
“Three (3) suspects are now under police custody, while continuous hot pursuit operations are ongoing for the arrest of the remaining suspect. Investigation and case build-up remain ongoing to ensure the successful filing and prosecution of the appropriate criminal charges,” the PRO-11 said.
Authorities said the victim, 29, was with his family members and was about to board a yellow minivan after attending a graduation ceremony at Kolehiyo ng Pantukan when he was attacked.

“The victim positively identified Franklin Taganait Cabatlao through the police rogue’s gallery as the gunman, while witnesses positively identified Raymond Diez Garcia and Roanna Taoy Colongan as his companions and occupants of the gray Suzuki minivan used during the commission of the crime,” the PRO-11 noted.
The PRO-11 also said that the following were retrieved during the operation: one Armscor caliber .45 pistol bearing Serial No. 351184; one steel magazine loaded with five live caliber .45 ammunition, one empty steel magazine, and the alleged getaway vehicle, a gray Suzuki minivan bearing Plate No. MBN 2178. /gsg
