
BALANGA CITY, Bataan — A suspect in the killing of a former village councilor in Hermosa, Bataan was arrested by police in San Fernando, Pampanga before midnight on Friday, June 26.
The suspect was identified as Alvin Vitangcol, 46, a native of San Ildefonso, Bulacan who had been residing in Hermosa.
Police said they have yet to identify the other suspects, who remain at large.

Recovered from Vitangcol were a U.S. carbine and the white Toyota Tamaraw allegedly used in the killing of former Barangay Culis Councilor Norman Dalit, 42.

Dalit was shot dead outside his residence in Barangay Culis, Hermosa on Friday morning.
Vitangcol is now under the custody of the Hermosa Municipal Police Station.
Police said the motive behind the killing has yet to be established as the investigation continues. /apl
