
MANILA, Philippines — One of the learners injured in the shooting at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City on June 8 remains in the intensive care unit (ICU).
This learner is conscious, coherent and on a soft diet.
On the other hand, 11 other victims are recovering.

The information comes from the Department of Education (DepEd) on Saturday.

In a health situation update as of June 27, DepEd said all 12 hospitalized learners are continuously receiving treatment.
“Based on the latest update, most of our learners who remain hospitalized are in stable condition, and are showing positive signs of improvement,” the department said.
“The learners who underwent operations are also recovering, while the others continue to be monitored and provided with the necessary medical care,” it noted.
Meanwhile, two learners have already been discharged from the hospital, while two others may be able to go home soon. /apl
