
A total of 108 people were detained this week after police inspections found they were living in Malta illegally.
The inspections were carried out by the Immigration Police and the Community Police in several localities, including Marsa and Ħamrun.
According to police, those detained were from a number of different countries, including European, Asian and African nations.
Officers from the Detention Services Agency also assisted police during the routine inspections.
The individuals are expected to undergo the necessary procedures in line with Malta’s immigration laws.
