
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of elder statesman, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, describing his death as a great loss to Kano State and the nation.
In a condolence message issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, on Sunday, Yusuf described the late Yahaya as a successful businessman who lived a life marked by honesty, integrity and unwavering service to humanity.
The governor noted that throughout his lifetime, Yahaya remained committed to the development of his Dakata Kawaji community in Nasarawa Local Government Area and the promotion of peace, leaving behind an enduring legacy of selfless service, exemplary leadership and philanthropy.

“The passing of Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is a painful loss not only to his family but also to the entire people of Kano State. We have lost a father, a respected businessman and a patriotic citizen whose contributions to humanity and society will continue to be remembered for generations,” Yusuf was quoted as saying.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family, loved ones and the people of Kano State the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The deceased is survived by many children, including a Senior Manager with Gerawa Group of Companies, Muhammad Shehu.
