LPA to bring scattered rains, thunderstorms in Cebu on Monday

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Cebu will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday, June 29, due to a low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. As of 3 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) located the LPA about 495 kilometers east of Surigao City in Surigao del Norte. The weather bureau said the LPA would bring rainy conditions across the Visayas. Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are also expected in the area throughout the day.
