Visayas remains under yellow alert
MANILA, Philippines – The Visayas grid still faces tight electricity supply due to outages at three large coal plants, with a yellow alert raised anew on Monday. In an advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said the yellow alert will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., a shorter period compared to previous days when the alert status lasted for about four to seven hours.
