
MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — Police have launched a manhunt for a man accused of hacking to death a 17-year-old girl in a remote village in Talakag town, Bukidnon, on Sunday.Capt. Shiela Joy Jangad, Bukidnon police spokesperson, identified the victim only as “Christine,” who had gone to a river in Sitio Nataring, Barangay Dagundalahon, with her live-in partner, identified only as “Danny,” to wash clothes.According to a police investigation, Danny briefly returned home to retrieve some belongings, leaving Christine alone at the river.

Talakag Mayor Renz Sulatan has offered a cash reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Sulatan declined to reveal the bounty amount./coa
