
A worker has died and another has been left unconscious after an excavator fell on its side at a Hong Kong construction site.
Police said on Monday that they received a report at 9.42am that an industrial accident had occurred on the site on Liberty Avenue in Ho Man Tin.
The force said at least one worker had become trapped when the excavator fell on its side.
One worker was certified dead on scene, while another was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei in an unconscious state, it added.
The incident is the second fatal industrial accident in the past four days.
On Friday, a 65-year-old male worker was struck by and pulled underneath an operating road roller at the refurbishment site at the Kowloon Bay Sports Ground. He was certified dead at the scene.
