Safe schools: Cebu deploys 2.5K personnel, eyes anti-bullying hotline

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — More than 2,500 security personnel have been stationed in schools across Cebu as the provincial government intensifies campus security following the fatal school shooting involving students in Tacloban City. The deployment forms part of the safety measures approved during an emergency meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), where Governor Pamela Baricuatro ordered long-term reforms to strengthen child protection, emergency preparedness, and violence prevention in schools.
