Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's investment management agency Danantara plans to integrate the whistleblowing system (WBS) across all state-owned enterprises (SOEs) with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to strengthen corruption prevention.
"We hope this will be integrated. All SOEs must be integrated with the KPK," Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria told reporters following a bilateral meeting at the KPK's Anti-Corruption Education Center Building in Jakarta on Monday.
Dony emphasized that the move reflects Danantara's commitment to transparency, stating that adherence to governance principles is an essential foundation for the future of Indonesia's state enterprises.
Under the proposed framework, individual SOEs will no longer have the authority to pre-screen internal whistleblowing complaints.
KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Aminudin explained that the digital integration will establish an uninterrupted pipeline of data directly to the anti-corruption watchdog.
"This way, all incoming information will not be sorted and selected; it will all go to the KPK," Aminudin stated.
"Let the KPK then sort through whether the reports relate to corruption or not," he added.
Beyond the WBS link, the KPK is actively working with Danantara to elevate compliance, specifically targeting the timely submission of State Officials' Wealth Reports (LHKPN) across all state-owned entities.
To achieve this, the KPK is pushing for each corporate work unit to field certified personnel, specifically Anti-Corruption Counselors (PAKSI), Integrity Building Experts (API), and Corruption Risk Assessment (CRA) specialists, to eliminate regulatory loopholes that could create opportunities for corruption.
Danantara and the KPK emphasized that the partnership is designed to go beyond bureaucratic paperwork and become part of the daily management of SOEs.
