Pinetrees Riding in Almancil will celebrate its 41st anniversary with a family-friendly charity event next month, raising funds for children’s charity ACCA.
The birthday celebration takes place on Sunday, July 26, from 4pm to around 8pm, with all proceeds from entry fees and the raffle supporting ACCA’s Back to School initiative, which provides backpacks filled with essential school supplies for underprivileged children.
The afternoon’s equestrian programme will see riders compete in a fancy dress parade, followed by a challenging obstacle course and clear-round jumping competition. Rosettes and prizes have been donated by event sponsor SandyBlue.
Visitors will also be invited to enter an art competition based on the theme “Animals”. Artwork should be A4 size and can be created using any medium.
Away from the arena, guests can browse equestrian products from Horse World, while B.A.G. baskets will be on sale, with 10% of proceeds also being donated to ACCA.
Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event, including burgers, hot dogs and vegan options prepared by Stewart Lindsey, followed by a birthday cake supplied by Pastelaria Charlotte.
Organisers say the event offers an opportunity for the local community to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment while supporting a worthwhile cause.
