Jodie Turner-Smith Shares Summer Plans With Daughter Juno
Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson make sure their daughter always feels like a queen.
Indeed, the Queen & Slim star shared rare insight into co-parenting daughter Juno, 6, with her ex-husband, with whom she reached a divorce settlement in May 2025, detailing the no. 1 rule they’ve enacted to ensure their daughter never feels caught in the middle.
“I'm a child of divorce myself and so is my ex-husband,” Turner-Smith told Hoda Kotb on the June 29 episode of the Joy 101 podcast. “And so it's always been important to think about, ‘Okay, what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter?’”
Although she and the Dawson’s Creek star were briefly locked in a difficult custody battle, the former couple has tried to speak about each other with respect in front of their child.
“This is her new reality and we're learning as well and not always getting it totally right,” the 39-year-old continued. “But the idea is always two homes filled with love. I'm like, you got two houses, girl!”
Still, Turner-Smith admitted that it’s been difficult to explain the divorce to Juno at times, considering the fact her daughter is “quite young.”
“It's like you got to walk this line between obviously being age appropriate and child-centered in the way that you talk about it,” the Agency actress added, “but also keeping it real so that she has an understanding of what this means.”
In fact, she revealed that she has a secret weapon when it comes to teaching her daughter about their family dynamic: literature.
“I read her so many books about divorce, about what that means, about what that new world is, about what is supposed to be happening, what's not supposed to be happening,” Turner-Smith offered. “You know, children's books have been helpful as well.”

And as they adjust to their new lives as co-parents, the Tron: Ares alum has offered a peek into her summer plans with Juno.
“Summertime we can do the traveling,” Turner-Smith previously told E! News on June 8. “My daughter's not in school. That's the time when we get to do all of our fun things.”
