Parts of Edsa in QC, Mandaluyong closed as rally disrupts traffic

MANILA, Philippines — Several roads / road segments around the People Power Monument and Edsa in Quezon City and Mandaluyong City were closed on Tuesday morning due to a rally, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In a traffic advisory as of 7:18 a.m., the MMDA said road closures include:

Edsa Ortigas Service Road (Northbound)

Edsa Ortigas Flyover (Northbound)

Edsa Ortigas Flyover (Southbound)

White Plains Avenue (Eastbound and Westbound)

Meanwhile, the MMDA said vehicular traffic was moderate to slow-moving along the southbound stretch of Edsa from Scout Borromeo to the Ortigas Split, and along the northbound stretch from Guadalupe to White Plains.

The MMDA said one lane in the area was occupied by vehicles of rally participants.
