
LIVE UPDATES: Edsa rally on June 30, 2026
MANILA, Philippines — Groups of rallyists gathered along the corner of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) and White Plains Avenue near the People Power Monument on Tuesday morning, June 30, prompting road closures and heavy traffic in the area.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) estimated the crowd at around 7,000 as of 6:45 a.m., according to QCPD spokesperson Maj. Jennifer Gannaban.
Many of the participants in the rally were seen wearing shirts from the Iglesia ni Cristo’s (INC) National Rally for Peace in January 2025 and its Rally for Transparency and Accountability in November 2025.

All but one of the lanes along Edsa northbound have been temporarily closed as some vehicles are parked leading up to the People Power Monument.

All westbound and eastbound lanes of White Plains Avenue have likewise been temporarily closed.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) previously said the rallyists began gathering at around 3 a.m.
