Will Taylor Frankie Paul's ‘Bachelorette’ Season Ever Air? Disney Exec Says…
Taylor Frankie Paul‘s legal battle with ex Dakota Mortensen is anything but rosy.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was contacted by cops after her former boyfriend went to the authorities on June 26 regarding a possible protective order violation, the Bluffdale Police Department in Utah confirmed to E! News.
Authorities spoke with Paul, 32, to gather information, before referring the case to the Salt Lake County District Attorney for further review, per the department. Police told E! they do not have an active case against Paul or Mortensen, 33, at the moment.
A source with knowledge of the matter told E! that Paul and Moretensen have not seen or spoken to each other since the protective orders were issued.
Moretensen initially contacted authorities over concerns about the drop-off and custody of his 2-year-old son with Paul as stipulated in his protective order, police told TMZ, who was first to report the news.
Paul also alluded to her brush with police in a since-deleted Instagram Story post.
“Cops called on me again THIS WEEK... what are the odds?” she wrote in a screenshot published by TMZ. “And it's not people... it's ONE person the same person. It's obsessive.”
The reality star did not clarify who the person was.

Paul’s legal troubles began in February 2023, when she was arrested in Utah and accused of assaulting her then-boyfriend Mortensen. She later pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony count of aggravated assault and obtained a plea deal.
The two then welcomed their son in March 2024, before officially calling it quits with their relationship in 2025—shortly before she began filming season 22 of The Bachelorette. The season was ultimately shelved by ABC in March when video of Paul and Mortensen’s 2023 altercation surfaced.
Amid the cancellation, Mortensen also filed a protective order against Paul alleging that his former partner was physically abusive toward him during two separate February incidents, per a filing obtained by TMZ.

However, Paul—who shares two other children with ex Tate Paul—filed her own temporary restraining order, alleging in documents obtained by multiple outlets that Mortensen had a "pattern of abusive conduct and coercive control" throughout their three-year on-again, off-again romance.
During an April 30 court hearing, a judge ruled to extend both Paul and Mortensen’s protective orders for an additional three years and, according to TMZ, were told to continue working towards mediation.
