
LEGAZPI CITY – Several towns in Masbate province ordered the suspension of classes on Tuesday due to heavy rainfall caused by a low-pressure area (LPA).
Classes at all levels in private and public schools were suspended in the towns of Placer, Cataingan, Mandaon and Batuan, while suspension in elementary and high school was ordered in Balud town.

On Monday, Masbate Gov. Ricardo Kho ordered the suspension of sea travel due to the rough seas.
In its 8 a.m. bulletin on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned of possible flooding in several areas, including Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and Masbate, due to moderate to heavy rainfall associated with the LPA./coa
