The Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress, comprising chairmen of the party’s 36 state chapters and the Federal Capital Territory, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election for a second term as governor of Ekiti State.
The chairmen described Oyebanji’s victory in the June 20, 2026, governorship election as a clear endorsement of his first-term performance and the people’s desire for more of his developmental strides.
Oyebanji won the governorship election after defeating his opponents in all 177 wards and the 16 local government areas of the state.
The forum, in a statement by its Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, made available in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, commended the people of Ekiti for choosing to remain in the progressive fold to enjoy more of the Renewed Hope initiatives of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The APC chairmen described the victory as “a well-deserved feat and a confirmation of the people’s trust and confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s leadership quality.”
The statement read in part, “We write to express our hearty congratulations to you on your re-election as governor of Ekiti State for another four-year term. This is a well-deserved feat and a confirmation of the people’s trust and confidence in your leadership.
“The fact that Ekiti people stood by you to break the jinx of not having two consecutive terms shows that they love you and cherish your programmes.
“They gave you 85 per cent of the votes and victory in all 16 local government areas to tell the world that they still want more of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s developmental strides.”
