MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — Three minors were killed after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a 10-wheeler truck loaded with sugarcane in Barangay Angga-an, Damulog town, Bukidnon, on Tuesday morning, June 30.
Omar Tangandigan of the Damulog Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said the victims, aged 16, 13, and 10, were on their way to fetch water for their school when the accident occurred.

Damulog police officer-in-charge Capt. Marlon Subrian said the motorcycle, driven by the 16-year-old student, reportedly lost control while negotiating a narrow road and collided with the oncoming truck, which was transporting sugarcane planting materials.
The truck driver surrendered to the Damulog police station and may face appropriate charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
Subrian reminded parents not to allow minors to operate motorcycles, stressing the dangers of letting underage children drive on public roads. /mcm
