
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines has expanded its agricultural presence in the Middle East with its first-ever pineapple shipment to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In a statement, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said about 18 metric tons of premium MD2 pineapples arrived at the Port of Khor Fakkan in the UAE on June 28. The shipment consisted of 1,500 boxes of pineapples sourced from farms in Tampakan, South Cotabato.
