Illumination/Nintendo/Universal‘s Super Mario Galaxy Movie will officially premiere on Peacock on July 30, in what is a 120-day theatrical window to streaming.
The second installment of The Super Mario franchise is the only movie to date in 2026 to hit $1 billion at the global box office. Pic stars Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black and Keegan-Michael Key, as well as new cast members Brie Larson, Donald Glover, Glen Powell and Benny Safdie.
Super Mario Galaxy Movie reps the best opening for a Hollywood movie YTD with a global start of $372.5M and has catapulted the entire Nintendo big screen franchise past the $2 billion mark.
