The Transmission Company of Nigeria, Benin Region, has announced a scheduled outage at its Ondo 132/33kV Transmission Substation on Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to Mbah, the planned outage is to enable TCN engineers to transfer the Ife-Ondo 132kV transmission line from the proposed Omotosho-Ondo 132kV line bay to the Ife-Ondo 132kV line bay.
She said the inauguration of a newly installed 60 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) 132/33kV transformer would be carried out simultaneously at the substation.

“Consequently, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will be unable to off-take power supply to its customers in Okitipupa and Ondo Town during the 10-hour outage.
“TCN apologises for any inconvenience this will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas,” she said.
