Clint Eastwood's Son Scott Eastwood Reveals Tense On-Set Exchange With Celebrity
Scott Eastwood had a not-so-lucky strikeout with a famous coworker.
While calling out the “unbelievable” lack of accountability in the entertainment industry, the 40-year-old revealed that he had a tense exchange with an unnamed high-profile figure as they worked on a film together.
“We started working on a film with a director,” Scott shared on the June 26 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, “and they decided after we'd already spent a bunch of money that they just didn't feel like they wanted to work with this other person and didn’t want to do the job.”
And since it was the person’s project, given the difficulties they were facing during pre-production, the Lucky Strike star expected them to repay the investors who had helped fund the movie.
“I was like, ‘Okay, then you need to pay that money back to the person who invested in you,’” he recalled. “They were like, ‘I'm not gonna do that.’ And it's like, well, yeah, you do. That's the right thing to do.”
Although the Fast X actor is no stranger to Hollywood—after all, he grew up visiting his father Clint Eastwood on-set—he is surprised by how some A-list stars lack professionalism.
“The bigger thing is just I've seen some behavior in this business that is shocking,” Scott continued, “that would not go in other industries.”
Despite having a legendary filmmaker as a father, the Suicide Squad alum—whose mom is Jacelyn Reeves—has no interest in shirking on his on-set duties. In fact, he credits Clint, 96, with instilling a strong work ethic in him—and showing him the “bulls--t” that comes with celebrity.
“He's just a ‘Put your boots on, go to work’ [type of] man,” Scott shared. “It happens to be a creative endeavor which is really cool.”

And though he’s in a glamorous profession, he emphasized that he doesn’t enjoy the spotlight—unlike some of his peers. Because, the way he sees it, fame can bring a “really ugly” side out of people.
“People just get too famous for too long,” he stressed to host Joe Rogan. “They think the world owes them something.”
Although Scott chose to keep his now-former colleague anonymous, there are plenty of celebs who have been entangled in high-profile feuds. Keep reading for more…
