One dead after crash in Manawatū

One person has died after a crash in Pahiatua, near Masterton.

Emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash on Huxley Street at about midday on Tuesday.

A person was found in critical condition and taken to hospital, where they died overnight.

The Serious Crash Unit has performed a scene examination, and enquiries into the crash are continuing.
