Caroline Flack's Cause of Death Confirmed
Six years after Caroline Flack—host of Love Island U.K. from its debut season in 2015 until 2019—died by suicide in 2020, her brother Paul Flack has died, according to a Norfolk coroner's report.
The formal inquest stated that Paul William Flack—son of Ian Flack and Christine Flack—was confirmed dead on June 21 at 55 years old in Norwich, a city in East England where the siblings grew up and the graphic designer had still lived, per the BBC. The reality TV host's brother was first found unresponsive in his residence before he was taken to the hospital, the outlet reports.
"Officers were called by ambulance after concerns for the safety of a man in his 50s at a property in Sandringham Road. He was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead at 10:44 p.m.," Norfolk Police said in a statement obtained by the BBC on June 30. "The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances."
Paul—who was also the older brother of Elizabeth Flack and Caroline's 46-year-old twin Jody Flack—had shared insight on his bond with Caroline when the X Factor personality died in 2020 at age 40.
"This will be my last post here," the artist wrote alongside a childhood portrait of Caroline on Instagram at the time. "May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline x."

The tragic passing of the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! host followed an assault charge stemming from an alleged altercation with her then-boyfriend Lewis Burton. The charge was recommended to be reduced to a warning by the Crown Prosecution Service but was appealed and reinstated as assault by beating by the Metropolitan Police Service.
Following Caroline’s departure from Love Island U.K., the ITV dating show was hosted by Laura Whitmore from 2020 to 2022 and has been led by Maya Jama since 2023.
