MANILA, Philippines – The rally mounted by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally along the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA)-White Plains Avenue area in Quezon City entered its second day on Wednesday, July 1, with thousands of supporters remaining at the protest site overnight.
At 5 a.m. today, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) estimates the crowd at 4,000
The protesters were able to secure permit from the Quezon City government to hold the rally on second day
Protesters remain gathered near the People Power Monument along EDSA and White Plains Avenue, some of them camped overnight in vehicles, tents and on sleeping mats
On Tuesday night, Sens. Imee Marcos and Rodante Marcoleta addressed the protesters
Traffic management measures remain in place as authorities monitor the ongoing protest.
Police continue to coordinate with rally organizers while maintaining peace and order
