
Wedding bells are ringing for actress Therese Malvar as she is now engaged to her boyfriend, director Jaime Morados.
Malvar announced the engagement through Instagram on Tuesday, June 30, sharing photos from the proposal alongside the Bible verse: “I have found the one whom my soul loves” (Song of Solomon 3:4).
“Every single day, it’s a yes ❤️ @jaimemorados,” she continued in the caption.

In the comments section, fellow celebrities including Kyline Alcantara, Barbie Forteza, Rita Daniela and Iza Calzado, among others, extended their congratulations to Malvar.
Morados, a director and writer, also shared a video documenting the proposal, which took place in the presence of the couple’s family and close friends. He captioned his post, “Thank you, Lord, for my soon-to-be wife.”
The couple had largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, although they occasionally shared photos of each other on social media.

Malvar made her acting debut at 13 years old in the coming-of-age film “Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita” opposite Angel Aquino. She won the Best Actress award at the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Festival for her performance, making her the youngest recipient of the award at the time.

She also received a nomination for Best Actress at the 37th Gawad Urian Awards, New Movie Actress of the Year at the 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies, and Best Breakthrough Performance by an Actress at the 11th Golden Screen Awards for her other film performances.
While filming the 2019 film “Inagaw na Bituin,” Malvar continued her high school studies and graduated as class salutatorian. In June 2024, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video from MINT College.

Malvar most recently appeared in the films “Quezon” and “Bar Boys: After School.” She is currently part of the cast of the GMA series “Kamao.”
Meanwhile, Morados is known for his short and independent films “Ang pagliligtas sa dalagang bukid” (2022), “Almusal: Ang tatlong magkakapatid” (2018) and “Isang kabayan” (2018). /ra
