All Black loose forward Samipeni Finau is heading to Japan.
The Chiefs player is to join up with Yokohama Canon Eagles in Japan.
Finau made his Super Rugby debut for the Chiefs in 2021 and the All Blacks in 2023.
Born in Tonga, Finau attended St Peter's Cambridge, represented Waikato, and came through the Chiefs Under-20s pathway before establishing himself in the Chiefs environment.
He played 12 Tests for New Zealand, his last was against France in Dunedin last July.
Finau wasn't named in Dave Rennie's All Black squad for the Nations Championsip Southern Series.
The Chiefs have farewelled a number of players following the conclusion of the 2026 season including Xavier Roe, Etene Nanai-Seturo, Lalakai Foketi, Liam Coombes-Fabling and Reuben O'Neill.
