
MANILA, Philippines — Wind signals have been lifted as Tropical depression Henry moves over the West Philippine Sea on Wednesday, July 1, according to the state weather bureau.
In a weather advisory issued at 11 am, TD Henry is moving generally westward while away from the Philippine landmass at 250 kilometers per hour.

It is located 240 kilometers west-southwest of Abucay, Bataan, with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kilometers per hour.

Pagasa also reported that TD Henry and the southwest monsoon, or habagat, is now less likely to bring significant rains over the western sections of Southern Luzon.
However, scattered rains and thunderstorms may still persist over Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Zambales, Bataan, Cagayan, Isabela, Batangas, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi, according to Pagasa.
Meanwhile, the periphery of Henry and the southwest monsoon is expected to bring strong to gale force gusts over the coastal and upland areas in Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa.
Pagasa said Henry is forecast to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Wednesday night or Thursday morning, July 2. /mr
