Ellen Adarna clarifies backstage access at F4 concert, meeting with Vanness Wu

Ellen Adarna dismissed speculations that she received “special treatment” from the organizers of the recent F4 concert in Bulacan, clarifying she was able to meet Vanness Wu because of a common friend.

The actress attended F4’s concert at the Philippine Arena last June 27, showing via her Instagram page a photo of herself standing next to the Taiwanese performer at what appears to be the holding area backstage.

The post apparently earned the ire of some netizens, including an Instagram user who called out concert organizer Live Nation Philippines for supposedly granting Adarna backstage access.

Responding to this, Adarna stressed, “Before spreading false information, please fact check first. Vanness personally gave us backstage access through his friendship with Rovilson Fernandez. Live Nation had nothing to do with it.”

Fernandez was the host of the inaugural season of the reality competition “Asia’s Got Talent,” where Wu served as one of the judges.

“I’ve been friends with Rovilson since before showbiz, and he’s been good friends with Vanness for years. They simply wanted to catch up, and we were fortunate enough to be invited along,” Adarna continued.

“Not everything needs a conspiracy or special treatment. Sometimes it’s simply called friendship,” she added. “Next time, verify your information before making accusations. Pag inggit, pikit.”

Another netizen did not approve of Adarna’s meeting with Wu, even reminding the actress that she is technically still married. The Instagram user also urged Adarna to seek God and to not “get lost any further.”

“Di mo alam kung anong feeling ng isang fangirl. Ma-unmarried na din ako in time, wait ka lang,” she replied. “Tigilan mo na, gamit na gamit na si Jesus sa mga taong katulad mo.”

(You don’t know what it feels like to be a fangirl. I’ll be unmarried in time too—just wait. And stop dragging Jesus’ name. People like you keep using Him for everything.)

Aside from Wu, the concert featured F4 members Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Mayday vocalist Ashin. Ken Chu, who was part of F4, is not part of the world tour. /edv
