
MARAMAG, Bukidnon — The rhythmic sound of indigenous gongs echoed across the streets as hundreds of Manobo-Talaandig dancers became the showcase of this town’s 70th founding anniversary celebration on Wednesday, filling the town with color, culture, and pride despite the gloomy weather.Dressed in vibrant red traditional attire, about 300 Indigenous Peoples performers captivated residents and visitors with lively street dances that featured the municipality’s rich heritage.The cultural presentation reflected this year’s theme, “Maramag @70: Rooted in Heritage, Driven by Excellence, Ready for Cityhood.”
