The Zamfara State Government has inaugurated a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Coordination Centre to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders and improve access to sustainable WASH services across rural communities.
Speaking during the inauguration in Gusau, the Programme Manager of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWATSAN), Dr Abubakar Nasir Galadima, described the establishment of the centre as a major milestone for the sector.
He said the facility would provide a platform for planning, monitoring, information sharing and coordination of WASH interventions across the state.
According to him, the centre would help improve collaboration among government agencies, development partners and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
