Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in their efforts to tackle insecurity across the state.
The governor gave the assurance while presiding over the weekly State Security Council meeting at the Government House in Gusau, according to a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris.
The meeting, attended by heads of security agencies operating in the state, reviewed the security situation and deliberated on strategies to strengthen security presence in volatile communities.
Lawal assured the security chiefs that his administration would continue to provide the necessary support to enhance the welfare and operational efficiency of troops deployed to the state.

He said his government was prepared to take every necessary measure to ensure that security personnel receive adequate support in carrying out their responsibilities.
The council also discussed ways of improving troop deployment and enhancing rapid response mechanisms during emergencies.
The governor stressed that restoring lasting peace remains one of the priorities of his administration, assuring security agencies of his continuous cooperation.
