RI at historic turning point as major transformation begins: Prabowo

Bogor, West Java (ANTARA) - Indonesia is currently entering a phase of major transformation across various sectors, from the economy and regulations to food and energy, as it seeks to become a modern, prosperous, and just nation, President Prabowo Subianto said.

According to him, Indonesia is now at a crucial point in its national history, despite a global situation characterized by uncertainty, tension, and conflict.

"The nation is at a historical crossroads. We are undergoing a major transformation amidst a world full of uncertainty, a world full of tension and conflict," he said at the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara at the Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade Training Unit in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday.

The president explained that the transformation under his administration encompasses various strategic areas, from the economy and bureaucracy to education and food and energy security. These efforts are intended to strengthen Indonesia's competitiveness while improving the welfare of its people.

Prabowo emphasized that the overarching goal of the transformation is to build Indonesia into a modern and prosperous nation founded on justice and the sovereignty of the people.

"Our transformation is aimed at building Indonesia into a modern and prosperous nation founded on justice and the sovereignty of the people," he stressed.

The president also highlighted the crucial role of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in maintaining national stability, noting that successful development and national transformation require a secure, orderly, and conducive environment.

He said history has shown that civilizations endure and flourish when supported by strong, professional, and trusted law enforcement institutions.

Prabowo added that no nation can become strong without state institutions that are trusted by, loyal to, and committed to protecting their people.

"The history of human civilization shows that successful civilizations are supported by superior police forces. Those are the civilizations that endure and prosper," the president concluded.
