
MANILA, Philippines – Pangilinan-led Metro Pacific Investments Corp.’s healthcare arm grew its nationwide hospital network to 31 facilities through the acquisition of stakes in two Batangas hospitals.
In a statement, Metro Pacific Health Corp. (MPH) said it completed its investment in First United 23 Inc., owner and operator of the United Doctors of St. Camillus de Lellis Hospital and Medical Center (UDCMC) and the United Doctors of St. Camillus de Lellis Mabini General Hospital (UDCMGH).

“This investment in St. Camillus marks our 19th and 20th provincial hospital partnership—and our first in the progressive province of Batangas, thereby completing our presence in the Calabarzon region,” said MPH president Augie Palisoc Jr..
The two hospitals are MPH’s 19th and 20th provincial partnerships as it expands beyond Metro Manila.
Located along Diversion Road in Bolbok, Batangas City, UDCMC serves communities linked to the STAR Tollway and Batangas International Port.
Meanwhile, UDCMGH is the only private hospital in Mabini, serving residents and tourists visiting Anilao’s dive destinations.

Following the acquisition, MPH said it will enhance operations, clinical standards and patient experience at both hospitals by applying best practices across its network.
Ferdinand Moraleja said the partnership would help expand healthcare services in Batangas.

To date, MPH operates 11 hospitals in the National Capital Region, 12 in Luzon, two in the Visayas and six in Mindanao.

Its portfolio includes Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Davao Doctors Hospital and Riverside Medical Center.
