Adega Restaurant at Vila Vita Parc, in Porches, will welcome the iconic Solar dos Presuntos for two exclusive guest-chef evenings on July 7 and 8, as part of its ongoing “Territories of Portugal” gastronomic series.
For the occasion, Adega’s Executive Chef Alexandre Cabral will team up with Chef Sidney Espírito Santo to showcase some of the signature dishes that have made the renowned Lisbon restaurant one of Portugal’s most celebrated culinary institutions.
Designed to celebrate the country’s rich regional cuisine, the “Territories of Portugal” initiative brings acclaimed restaurants from across Portugal to the Algarve, highlighting the traditions, flavours and identities that define each region.
Representing Lisbon, Solar dos Presuntos will serve a selection of its best-known specialities, including Monção-style roasted kid goat, lobster açorda and the restaurant’s legendary Grandmother Luísa’s Dessert, prepared according to the original recipe created in 1974.
The celebration of Lisbon’s gastronomy extends beyond the two guest-chef dinners. Until July 15, Adega’s own menu will feature a selection of dishes inspired by the capital, created by Chef Alexandre Cabral. Highlights include Bacalhau à Brás, Bife à Marrare with creamy green pepper sauce and potatoes, and chargrilled sardines served with cornbread and tomato salad.
The experience is complemented by a carefully curated wine list showcasing the Lisbon wine region, including labels from Monte Bluna, based in Arruda dos Vinhos.
Through the “Territories of Portugal” series, Adega continues to celebrate Portugal’s diverse gastronomic heritage by bringing together leading chefs and iconic restaurants, offering guests an opportunity to experience the flavours of different regions without leaving the Algarve.
On July 7 and 8, Adega will continue its regular à la carte service alongside a special selection of Solar dos Presuntos’ signature dishes.
