
Catriona Gray is continuing her advocacy for clean-water access across the Philippines through ongoing field missions and disaster-response efforts.
During a gathering held in Makati City on Tuesday, June 30, Gray spoke about her continued commitment to the cause as she is officially named as the new ambassador of Waves for Water Philippines.
Waves for Water Philippines is a global humanitarian aid organization implementing clean water solutions in remote communities.

“Having the role gives me immense pride, not only because I believe in the work that is being done, but because of the mission and the vision to create change in communities across the Philippines,” she said.

Gray first became involved in clean-water missions in 2023 during a field visit in Barangay Calo in Lobo, Batangas, where she joined a community deployment alongside partners and local organizations.
In late 2025, the actress-beauty queen helped amplify emergency-response efforts that led to the distribution of water filtration systems in affected communities in Cebu and Negros Islands following a series of typhoons.
Earlier this month, Gray also supported relief initiatives after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao, where additional water filtration units were deployed to areas in South Cotabato and Sarangani.
Gray also recently participated in a clean-water mission in Siquijor, where teams installed water systems and hygiene facilities in several communities and a school.

The initiative served thousands of residents and highlighted everyday water-access challenges faced by rural communities.
Gray, who recently made her acting debut in the romantic drama film “The Loved One,” is best known for winning the Miss Universe 2018 crown. /ra
