The young woman at the centre of a
case in which Alessandro Bastoni is probed over alleged underage
prostitution has denied having taken money for sex from the
Italy and Inter defender when she was a minor, sources said on
Wednesday.
"I'm not a prostitute. I didn't prostitute myself with Bastoni
and I didn't take any money", the woman, who allegedly spent the
night of July 9-10, 2020, with Bastoni when she was 17 and the
player was 21, said during questioning with investigators,
according to the sources.
Earlier on Wednesday Bastoni's lawyer Salvatore Scuto said he
could "categorically rule out" that Bastoni ever "engaged in
paid sexual encounters, never mind with a minor."
The case is part of a wider probe into a company based in the
town of Cinisello Balsamo, near Milan, which organized events
for VIP clients at trendy Milanese nightclubs.
Bastoni has been summoned by prosecutors for questioning on
Friday, the sources said.
The fact he is under investigation does not necessarily mean he
will go on trial.
