
PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – Two students were wounded in a stabbing incident inside Cabaluay National High School in Zamboanga City Wednesday morning, following what authorities said was a fistfight allegedly triggered by bullying.
Police identified the suspect only as “Aga,” a 17-year-old Grade 11 student, while the victims are both aged 16.
All three are residents of Barangay Cabaluay.

Cabaluay village chief Lester Siason reported the incident to Zamboanga City Police Station 3 (ZCPS-3), prompting investigators to respond immediately.

Authorities said the victims were rushed to Zamboanga Regional Medical Center.
Investigators disclosed that one victim sustained injuries to the left abdominal area, while the other was wounded on the lower left side of the back, the left portion of the head, and the right arm.
The attacker, who also sustained injuries, was treated at the school clinic.
Police confirmed that both the victims and the suspect are now in stable condition.

Initial findings showed that a fistfight erupted inside the classroom, during which the suspect allegedly drew a small kitchen knife and stabbed the victims.
Investigators said bullying was the apparent motive behind the attack.

Authorities assured the public that measures are being taken to secure the school premises and prevent similar incidents.
