The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, sacked the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Toyin Balogun and replaced her with Faosat Sanni with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, in Ibadan, the state capital.
Olarenwaju said, “The governor has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, which saw the redeployment of Faosat Sanni to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion. Sanni takes over from Toyin Balogun, who has been relieved of her appointment.
“The new redeployment takes immediate effect,” the statement added.
Makinde, while thanking Balogun for her contributions to the development of the state, wished her success in her future endeavour.
The PUNCH reports that Sanni, who had earlier served as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion from 2019 to 2023, was moved to the Ministry of Special Duties in 2023 before being recently redeployed to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative.

The governor also appointed Ifeoluwa Akande as the Chairman, Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee; Isola Adekunle as Executive Adviser, Intra-Party Affairs; and Oladejo Oladokun as Part-Time member, Local Government Service Commission.
