Nara Blue Smith is sharing insight into a difficult time for her and Lucky Blue Smith's family.
The influencer shared that the couple’s 2-year-old daughter Whimsy Lou was diagnosed with cancer last year.
“There is no easy way to say this or to talk about any of this,” Nara said in a July 1 Instagram post. “But late last year our daughter Whimsy got diagnosed with cancer.”
Nara—also mom to kids Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 3 and Fawnie, 11 months with Lucky—shared that they visited several doctors before getting Whimsy’s diagnosis.
“When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn’t quite know what to make of it,” Nara recalled. “So we took her to our pediatrician. I just remember him going really quiet and calm and my heart dropped in that moment.”
As Nara—stepmom to Lucky's 8-year-old son Gravity, whom he shares with ex Stormi Bree—heartbreakingly admitted, “The first thing I felt was, ‘She has cancer.’”
Still, it was the beginning of an extremely stressful journey.
“After a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said she had cancer," the 24-year-old continued. “They told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately. Throughout all of this I have been on a plethora of forums, social media and also talked to parents and family in the hospital.”
And considering Nara and Lucky had just welcomed Fawnie late last year, the TikToker admitted her priorities have been completely upended.
“Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard,” she noted. “A lot of you have probably realized I’ve been posting a little bit less and this is the reason why. Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.”

And while Nara noted that finding a balance has been a daily struggle, she added, “Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way I can.”
In sharing insight into her family’s journey, Nara expressed hope it might be exactly what one of her followers needed to hear.
“We wanted to share this to hopefully bring someone else that comfort—or even hopefully incentivize you to go check something out that you’ve been avoiding,” she shared. “I hope that by sharing this I can bring someone a little bit of comfort and make you feel a little less alone on your journey—whatever that may be."
