Fire razes poultry farm in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan–An air-conditioned poultry farm in Nangalisan, Solana town, Cagayan, was razed by fire on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The fire broke out at Maristel Poultry House at 6:30 a.m. and was put out at around 8:15 a.m.

Police Senior Inspector Nestor Parallag, Solana police chief, said the cause of the fire was initially reported to be faulty electrical wiring.

Due to its insulation foams and plastic slats, the poultry was immediately engulfed by the blaze.
