Five caregivers at the crèche inside Capgemini’s Bengaluru campus have been booked after disturbing videos allegedly showed toddlers being physically abused and intimidated. The footage reportedly showed caregivers locking children inside bathrooms, placing them inside a front-loading washing machine, forcing them into pipes and toilets, and assaulting them when they cried. An FIR has been registered under provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, while police have launched an investigation into the incident. Capgemini has temporarily shut the daycare facility and said it is fully cooperating with authorities.
